Austria has been as the forefront of European indoor cricket. The first championships, organised under the ECF, the forerunner of the European Cricket Council, were held in Austria in 1995, and Austria has been ever present since then. In 1996 the indoor team won the tournament held in the hallowed Indoor School at Lords, and has participated at every indoor championships since. This year the Austrian National Team will be participating at the championships organised by the KNCB in Schiedam. Further details about the history of the national team will appear shortly.
