Administrative Issues

Part of running a successful team/club is successful administration. The following links are intended to assist your club in its day-to-day administration, as well as answering a lot of questions about administrative requirements.

Legal aspects of a Club (Verein):

In Austria, all clubs must be registered in accordance with the Vereinsgesetz, the full text of the current Vereinsgesetz 2002 - external link (German). Statutes (Statuten):

Any club (Verein) is required to have Statutes. A pro forma version of statutes (Musterstatuten) are available here (from the Ministry of the Interior - Adobe Acrobat required). Under the terms of the new Vereinsgesetz, which took effect on 1.7.2002, clubs have 4 years (i.e. until 30.6.2006) to adapt their statutes to correspond with the new Vereinsgesetz. Clubs that are members of organisations such as ASKÖ, ASVÖ, Sport-Union or similar Dachverbände may be able to have their statutes checked by these organisations.
