Club Events

Many clubs organise their own events in addition to league, trophy and friendly matches. Their aims and goals are varied - some have more of a recreational aspect to them, whilst others have more of a development and competitive aim. The club events that are currently scheduled for 2004 are as follows:

Vienna CC Wintercup - 27-28 March 2004

The Vienna CC Wintercup has been played since 1986, and became an international tournament in 1992. Since then several international players and a plethora of county cricketers have played in the tournament, with Madisons CC, from Northamptonshire, being the champions for three of the last four years. Teams have come from all over Europe to take part in the Vienna CC Wintercup.

Pakistan CC Trophy - 5-6 June 2004

Now an annual event, the Pakistan CC Trophy, played in May or June, is renowned for big hitting and high scoring, with sides playing 15 overs a side, in group stages and a knockout stage. This year the tournament will once again be taking place in Seebarn. Click here for the fixtures.

Viennese World Cup - June 26-27

The Viennese World Cup brought together teams representing India, Pakistan, Austria, England, Sri Lanka and the Rest of the World to play a Sixes Tournament. Tournament Report.

CC Velden '91 Sixes - June 26-27

It's quite simple. Six teams, six countries, six-a-side. And all that played at CC Velden's wonderfully picturesque ground in Latschach for the Ovedasso Trophy. In 2003 and 2004, the trophy was won by Ljubljana CC. More Info and tournament report 2004.
